Women's Ministry at South Baptist Church - Forest lilacs in the spring

Women’s Ministry

Older women…are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.
(Titus 2:3-5)

Our commitment is to serve, encourage and support the local body of women and children in growing spiritually by example and counseling under the guidance of God’s Word and the Holy Spirit.
Our goal is for each woman to have an opportunity for spiritual growth through the ministry of prayer, encouragement, service, and interaction within the body. SBC’s women’s ministry is committed to lifting up the body of Christ through continuous prayer as we watch over one another in love and good deeds.

Ladies’ Bible Study

We are currently studying the book of Esther. We meet every Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. (not during the summer months). Please contact the church for location details.

Ladies’ Book Club

We meet once a month to discuss a specific book, chosen to encourage us in our faith and spiritual growth. The book club is held on the fourth Monday night of the month at 6:30 p.m. We encourage women of all ages to join us. Our current book is The Glory of Christ, by John Owen.

Birthday Breakfast

We meet for breakfast once a month on a Saturday morning at Shiloh’s Restaurant on Route 3 in Tilton. We celebrate the ladies who have birthdays in that month by treating them to breakfast and spending time in fellowship.
