Sermon Notes

  • 2 Peter 1:20-21
But I know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was every made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
  • Luke 18:38-39
And he called out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
  • Matthew 8:28-29
When He came to the other side into the country of the Gadarenes; two men who were demon-possessed met Him as they were coming out of the tombs. They were so extremely violent that no one could pass by that way. And they cried out, saying, “What business do we have with each other, Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?”
  • Mark 12:14
They came and said to Him, “Teacher, we know that You are truthful and defer to no one; for You are not partial to any, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay a poll-tax to Caesar, or not?”
  • Mark 12:35-37
And Jesus began to say, as He taught in the temple, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David? David himself said in the Holy Spirit, ‘THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD, SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I PUT YOUR ENEMIES BENEATH YOUR FEET.’ David himself calls Him Lord; so in what sense is He his son?” And the large crowd enjoyed listening to Him.
  • Psalm 110:1
The Lord says to my Lord: “Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”
  • John 17:5
Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.
